What happens to your name, your email address and your message when you write to me through this site.

Who is responsible

Xevi Machado Studio, registered in the Netherlands under KVK 98570501 (VAT NL005337330B55), is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything on this page, write to xevimachado@gmail.com.

What the form collects

The contact form asks for three things: your name, your email address and your message. There are no other fields. Nothing is collected from you anywhere else on this site.

The form also carries a hidden field that stays empty. It is there to catch automated spam, not to collect anything about you.

Why, and on what basis

The only purpose is to read your message and answer it. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and where your message is not about a possible commission, Article 6(1)(f), my legitimate interest in replying to people who write to me.

Your data is never used for marketing, never profiled and never sold.

Where it goes

The message is delivered to my inbox by Web3Forms, which processes the submission and forwards it as email. The site itself is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Visitor counts come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not build a profile of you.

Whether a data processing agreement is in place with each of these providers: [ TO CONFIRM — Xevi ]

How long it is kept

Retention period for enquiry emails: [ TO CONFIRM — Xevi ]

Retention period held by the form provider before delivery: [ TO CONFIRM — Xevi ]

You can ask me to delete your message at any point, and I will, unless I am required to keep it for tax or legal reasons.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies, and there is no tracking script from an advertising network. That is why you are not asked to accept anything.

Two small things are stored by your own browser so the site behaves sensibly, and neither of them is sent anywhere or identifies you:

  • a scroll position, so that pressing the back button returns you to where you were. It is cleared when you close the tab.
  • whether you last viewed a gallery as a scrolling strip or as a grid, so it opens the same way next time.

You can clear both at any time from your browser settings, and the site will keep working.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to have it erased. You can also object to the processing or ask for it to be restricted, and ask to receive your data in a portable form.

To exercise any of these, write to xevimachado@gmail.com. I will answer within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how I handle it, you have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
